My husband bought this beautiful arrangement from @alsifleur. Such a beautiful and interesting combination of blooms. The lupines are so eye catching.
Carved pumpkins with the kids tonight. I love that my husband will happily help scoop the guts.
Still getting the winter beds planted up in the demo garden. Today was garlic planting time! I went with 2 varieties this time Early Italian and Spanish Roja. My fava beans and peas have come up. My carrot germination doesn’t look good but we’ll keep fingers crossed. I also snapped pics of cosmos and zinnias from the cottage planting area.
Fall in the demo garden. We harvested 70 lbs of tomatoes yesterday and winter squash are on the way. The Jack Be Littles tried trellising on the sunflowers without much success.
Working on the next honey harvest today. 7 pints in all from 2 frames. The bees were chill but the wasps were more aggressive. I may need to set up some decoy bait somewhere else next time.
Another Wednesday at the demo garden. Tomatoes are still going strong but greens and beans are nearing their end. Today I started planting for the fall and winter.
